Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have listened to the mp3s on the emu site but still I am wondering: are 
the drum sets similar on both machines?

For preset loops, can you edit these and change the loops?

Can you change paramaters on the drum samples themselves, like start 
point, attack, etc?

And seeing the hundreds of drum samples available, does anyone know what 
the difference is with the new machine that is coming out?

Is one machine better than the other for getting lots of analog sounds?

Are the few pianos and strings pretty much the same on both machines?
