True, a PC will be necessary to use a direct USB to USB connection, but with a (for example) USB MIDI interface, the Mac will work fine. I just upgraded my MP7 OS with my ibook via MIDI with no problems. Mac USB drivers (which were promised "summer 2002", remember?) and OSX e-loader would be nice, though.
