Take a look on the web for the basics of synth programing there are 
some good sites out there.  I would give you links but it has been a 
long time since I was looking for them.

You may also want to post your questions at IBGEEK it is another 
yahoo group that i started about a year ago dealing with using the 
synths in emu gear.  You can find a link there under the links 
section of this group.
