Get a MIDIman Midisport 2x2, then set it up like this:

Virus KC Midi Out               >      Midisport Midi In Port A
Midisport Midi Out Port A   >      Orbit Midi In
Orbit Midi Out                    >      Midisport Midi In Port B 
Midisport Midi Out Port B   >       Virus KC

That way you can still play the orbit from the Virus without having the 
computer switched on, just engage the "Thru" switch on the Midisport.

Virus Out -> CPU In
CPU Out -> Virus In
Virus Thru -> Orbit In

But then you wouldn't be able to play the Orbit without have the
computer on and your sequencer running with Echo On.
