The Soundblaster outputs at 48hz but i'm sure it accepts 44.1 to 48hz i'm not sure about the control panel anymore but can't you lock the sample rate to external?

I think this issue has to do with the sample rate of the Audigy. Most
Sound blaster cards run at 48kHz if I remember correctly, and the XL-7
SPDIF outputs a 44.1kHz signal. Not sure what your options are to change
this with the audigy, but I'm not sure you can even.

I am having a problem with the S/PDIF out running into my
soundblaster audigy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Often it quits in the middle of playing something. The XL-7 is not
locking up, as I can still hear it through headphones. I'm
wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if anyone has a
clue as to whether it's the XL-7 or the Audigy. I'm running 1.31 on
the XL-7 and the newest audigy drivers, (from August I think).

  Thanx
