Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I did try to include Cubase to the XX-7 sequencer.

What I want is to play and sequence sounds on my XX-7 without external
control, but I want to 
record "Leads" with cubase, so I connected a soundmodul on the B-Port. 

Now I want to play and sequence sounds of the soundmodul and some internal
Presets of the 
XX-7 via an external keyboard connected to cubase.

So, it´s quiet confusing, I did try lot of possible settings, but just one
seems to work right.

XL-7 receives channel 1-16 A. (it don´t works using 1-16B !?!!!!)
MIDI Merge Channel B on.
I set all the sounds, that should not played external to B-Channels.
I can play the soundmodul external and Presets on the A-channels inside now,
but as I use MIDI 
Merge B all the channels get out to the soundmodul.
So if I have f.e. routed channel 1 to an XX-7 Preset, I have to keep channel
1 empty on my 
soundmodul, I could live with that.

Using Multitracks is not to comfortable cause the whole group is assigned to
both, internal or 
external, I just can´t set all 32 Channel assignement individual. Could be
better I think.

Is there someone who does it the same way?
Hope someone can help, but I think I am on the right way, right?
