Forgive me if I'm missing something here, to rid yourself of those pesky track mute lights
after you've erased a track, can't you just mute the track and then save the pattern?  When I do
this, all tracks I've muted stay muted when I recall that pattern.  Of course when you hit that
track mute button, it will come on as if there is something on that track.  I offered a fix for
this a few months ago which I found later only works sometimes for me.  It involves deleting the
track, saving the pattern and then reverting to saved pattern.
