No, categories would throw this into a whole new world of arguments. There is nothing so debatable as genre classification in music. Not to mention, we probably don't really have enough people to make it worth it....we'd end up with 50 entries and 25 winners! What it really comes down to is the box, and what one can squeeze out of it. Any true music appreciater can look beyond style and genre and hear the true inner groove or harmony of a song. The best songs out there tend to defy the tight grips of stereotypical classifications anyways. nuff said ByronIV > -----Original Message----- > From: David Jones [mailto:spec@...] > Sent: Monday, October 28, 2002 10:19 PM > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > Subject: Re: [xl7] The Official Contest Rules and Info > > > Maybe we should do catagories?? > > hrm > > > > What style the tune should be BTW? > > Comparing apples and oranges would be rather unfair. > > -- > > Sebastien, > > -=-=-=-=-= > > I'd love to, but I'm trying to be less popular. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
