RE: [xl7] The Official Contest Rules and Info

2002-10-29 by ByronIV

No, categories would throw this into a whole new world of arguments. There
is nothing so debatable as genre classification in music. Not to mention, we
probably don't really have enough people to make it worth it....we'd end up
with 50 entries and 25 winners! What it really comes down to is the box, and
what one can squeeze out of it. Any true music appreciater can look beyond
style and genre and hear the true inner groove or harmony of a song. The
best songs out there tend to defy the tight grips of stereotypical
classifications anyways.
