If you hear anything about the free ROM situation, let us know. It was a deciding factor in my purchase \u2013 I felt like I would be getting more for my money over a competitor\u2019s product.

I tried calling EMU the other day about the free ROM offer that I
sent in for and never got. They told me that the division of EMU
that handled promotions and some other parts of the company were now
being handled by Creative Labs. It sounds like EMU is going through
a major shake up or merger of some kind. We can only hope that
EMU/Creative will support their hardware as well as EMU did by
themselves. But if this is any indication I doubt I'll be getting
that free ROM, I was on hold for almost 30 minutes before I was told
call tomorrow in the morning. If I had MY WAY... I'd want them to
just open-source the OS. I mean, you gotta buy the hardware for the
OS to work... and just imagine all the hacks people out there could
come up with.
