This one now looks repeatable. When a preset is first loaded, it always gets an extension interval of 1, regardless of what it's supposed to have. When a new preset is selected manually or by program change, it picks up the extension interval OF THE PREVIOUS PRESET ON THAT CHANNEL. In other words, extension interval is loaded from the old preset in the channel, not the one being selected. This was verging on being a show-stopper - after all, what use is an arpeggiator that can't stay in tune? - but the work-round appears to be to double-up program changes. Even so, this one is so in-your-face that I'm rather amazed it wasn't spotted earlier. This leaves one show-stopper: stuck notes in the sequencer, again repeatable. It seems to be a problem with presets using a delayed arpeggiation - if the sequencer is stopped at a certain point in the arpeggiation cycle, the note sticks, and can only by cleared by power-cycling. This renders the arpeggiator unusable when sequencing (and I'm probably going to have to resort to external sequencing to try and work round it). -- nick rothwell -- composition, systems, performance -- http://www.cassiel.com upcoming gig at cybersonica, london, june 5th -- http://www.cybersonica.org
