You made the sugestion of using custom arps on percussion presets to accomplish this. I have been really happy with this. I played with BTS mode when it came out and have decided that is is much less flexible. The only drawback is that it eats a lot of internal channels. This is not really an issue for me as I am using some external gear for sounds. I am also working on using arps from trigger keys to sequence breakbeats from my sampler at a key press. After splitting the sample with Recycle you can even rearrange and tempo shift it. The best part about using arps instead of BTS is that by setting the sync in the arp section of the patch, the rhythm arp will play in time and on time even if you press the trigger at an off moment. If you connect a knob to arp speed you can get roll effects like those on the mc505, though the beats tend not to come back into time the way they do on the 505. --Ezra --- In xl7@y..., erik_magrini@B... wrote: > I too would love that feature.
