Cross posted in P2K and XL7 Groups: Look for RIFF TEMPO. BTS presets are presets with special (usually 16 channel) riffs. There are two options: (a) use riff tempo and (b) use current tempo. With (a) the tempo will be the one that's on the ROM that has the RIFF. With (b) it will either be external or internal midi/bpm tempo. As for triggering beats from your keyboard, there are BEATS TRIGGER LAYOUT parameters. You have: Parts 1 -> 16, Groups 1 -> 4, Strt/Stop, ClrParts, Mute, and TrigHold. If the grid is being driven by the internal midi clock, it should be the same clock as what's diving the bts. I am not sure this is helpful, because I have a cold (head congestion/fuzzy thinking) and don't really understand what you are trying to do. But maybe it will be help. Steve Out of curiosity, are you trying to sync two different pieces of gear? I didn't infer that at first but in trying to make sense of what you are doing, perhaps you are talking about using more than one piece of gear. If so, you should have one as clock master and the other(s) as clock slaves. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, D F Tweedie <bienpegaito@...> wrote: > > (Cross-posted XL7 and P2K) > > I know if I play a pattern, the tempo reads out in the synth. Where do I find the tempo info for beats so I can trigger them from midi notes in my sequencer and have them lock to the grid? > > Thanks. > > DF > > > CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This communication with its contents may contain confidential and/or legally privileged information.
