Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I know RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, but that's about it. I have my messages sent as a daily digest to my e-mail account. What advantages would RSS have? Are there any disadvantages?

PS: I have all of my groups listed in My Groups (accessible from a number of different Yahoo pages. Does RSS have advantages over that?
