I was considering a new work flow method and was wondering if anyone tried something similar and found strengths or difficulties with it. I am trying to improve my ability in producing a freeflow/improve workflow with my XL-7 than just bring tracks in and out of a pattern flowing between patterns. I mainly consentrate on live performance. I was think of organizing patterns where all the tracks are a paticular part. Couple of just kick patterns, other paterns each with just: snares, tuned percution, untuned percussion, basslines, pads, sound effects, ect. Then use the Xmit function to build sequences on the fly. Thanks for any input.
