Re: [xl7] ZR-76 or halo ROM?

2010-05-31 by TOMTEL

I personally think the Halo rom (sounds of the ZR) is great, I just got it. It has a great set of sounds, I have all of Emu's Line up, and it is one that I will be using a lot. I'm into Trip hop and Rap with Eclectic sounds and it seems to have a bunch that I like. I got mine on ebay for $149. I think it's worth it for me. Mine says Q-ROM and it has 5 banks with Perfect Piano as the 1st sound. Good Luck.

IIUC, the ZR-76 and the halo ROMs are the same, but one of them has a 5th

bank of presets.

does anyone have any opinions on these ROMs? my XL7 has the XL, TSCY and

beat-garden ROMs... the last empty ROM slot is calling to me. my style is

electronic/techno sounding so i don't have much need for a B3 or

orchestral ROM, but the world expedition (planet earth) ROM seems like it

would be fun. i've also got an empty orbit-3 chassis...

so, with that background, what would ya'll say about the ZR-76/halo ROMs?

or anything else that's recommended?

thanks...
