Very good sugestions. I was normali use different patterns to make transitions. Well i observe on my Alesis micron that there are some keys define with general transitions. Probably some arps on drum sets. Well the ideea was to make something similar on xl7 and to have on some buttons, maybe the trigger ones, some general transitions. In this way i can simplify the all process,./:)

You could even make a pattern that specifically transitions from A to B (i.e. A, AB, B).

Two ideas
 
1.  Suppose you have an 8 measure pattern.   You want a smooth pattern playing on all the 8 measures with NO bridge/transition at the measure eight.
 
a. Go to the function "extend length", and duplicate the length of the pattern, from 8 to 16.
 
b. Go to the measure 16, you know, erase the kick, add a reverse cymbal or a percussion bridge transition.    SAVE IT
 
c. Go now to pattern length.  Change it again from 16 to 8. SAVE IT
 
d. Now you have again the same smooth loop of 8 measures, but when you want to make a transition to other pattern, go to pattern length screen and change it to 16.   In this way, the pattern will go now from 1 to 16, not to 1 to 8, and then, the transition you recorded at bar 16, will make its job.
 
 
2. Create a multimode A or B track, that can have notes, or tweaks.    REcord the transition in that track.
 
It won't have effect, until you activate it.  GREAT feature

Can anyone share some ideas on how you do transitions or breaks between patterns/songs in live mode???
Also is there a way to define some general transitions( drum or synth transitions) ???
