Alright now. I have to disagree with this completely. I usually don't post here but I had too. I perform live and actually tour doing live a live house thing. I originally started out on the Alesis MMT-8's. just not enough memory so all the live performers have been kinda looking for something like the MMT-8 but better. I have owned every sequncer under the sun it seems like. I was very excited about the commandstations and actually bought two of them, one I have not even opened out of the box yet. And my opinion on the matter is as a live sequncer the RS7K is way more solid. Sounds? yeah they are lame but the effects routing and editing is way better. And the sounds on the emu are just as lame. so taht leaves the sequncer. The emu probally had the worst midi timing ever. I don'y know if it has been fixed but I send midi clock out to other sequncers and the would fall off after a few loops. I mean a train wreck. The RS7000 has really nice timing. It has a real list editor. The emu try at that was really lame. And the rs, it has storage medium. THat usb crap on the command station probally still doesn't work huh? so take it from someone who has used both in a live setting. THe RS kicks major ass and it will definetly work for you man. Sell that emu... > laugh ha ha ha Eerrrr Don't put that there.... > dude the RS7000 aint the answer to your problems > The presets sound like ass and it has mad timing, sync and clocking issues, > not to mention boring filters and clugey sampling. > The XL7 is a great box but if you are really hell bent on not using it, use > an E4 or an MPC or something, or sofware. > Among other things, I use an XL7 in conjunction with my computer and > everything is fine.
