Re: USB problems w/ XP

2008-07-02 by dutchbeats

First of all greetings to all here! I've been waiting to ask the same
question and have the exact same problem with XP. I can see all the
sequences and songs in E-loader but when I try to upload a sequence or
song to my pc it says it can't do it with a red stop sign! No
explanation. Also, in the MIDI setup window the only way E-loader will
bring up the XL-7's sequences is when the Sysex device ID is set to 1
but the actual device ID numbers are 0. If I change the number to 0 to
match the device numbers it won't even read the XL-7! This is
supposedly a key point that the numbers should match so I'm lost.

Since I will only be connecting my XL-7 to my XP PC for sequence
backup/restore you guys say that I can do that with just a MIDI I/O
connection and no USB? That would take a load off my mind. Cheers!
