Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Anyone else have any problems w/ their xl-7 crashing or locking or
glitching out when they put a bad MIDI file into the banks?

A buddy brought over a bunch of midi files he exported from reason 4
the other day and only 2 played as normal...the rest literally locked
up the machine.  Some other midi files have made the pads sound on
their own when the sequencer is stopped, etc.  Wierd things like that
keep happening. I'm not sure if it's the midi or if my used machine is
glitchy or the os is corrupted.

I know about the diff types of midi files (mode1, 0 etc) but I think
it might be something else about the data maybe a note out of range or
prog change.

what do you guys think?
