would it be worth putting up somewhere like sourceforge or on googlecode? admitadly, then anyone can grab the source and fork it, but it might be one of those 'well, better its there than not' cases I'd like to be able to say i'd be able to contribute, but really, at the moment, it would be on a huge pile of things to do.
