Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello,

if I buy a second command station without any ROM fitted,
is it usable as a standalone sequencer ?
Any missing features without ROMs ?

I recently started to do VJ shows with my XL-7 and I must say
it is perfect. A definite step-up from my previous setup where
I used a Bitstream Pro. The Bitstream is powerful but doesn't
have a sequencer and such liveact capabilities.
The XMIX makes the XL-7 do miracles.
So I want to buy a second unit because I fear the XL-7 will
suffer any damage and I may loose my audio work.
It would be nice if I shouldn't keep a ROM in the new unit
just to make it work ...
