yeah one way to trigger samples is to have each channel of the xx-7 
set to to a channel of the sampler and the sampler to the channel of 
the xx-7. and you can have your knobs set to tweak and ur buttons as 
well. 
or if theyre oneshots(and pitch doesnt matter) just use one channel 
to trigger differernt ones
