Well, there are all kinds of MIDI sequencer programs - Cubase is one 
of the more well known ones.  You can sequence out parts & drums 
graphically, edit CCs, etc. There may be other (cheaper) options. 

You use the phrase "track out" - If you're looking for something like 
one of the old DOS tracker programs (Impulse Tracker, Fast Tracker, 
etc) you could try Z-Tracker. It has an interface very similar to 
Impulse Tracker, but functions as a MIDI sequencer. 

I'm sure there are others too, those just pop into my head first.  
They are both very different programs, so you'll just have to 
experiment & find one you like.

Whether any of that will be faster or actually help you is a whole 
other issue :)
