Just in case you misunderstood, WMP is not a sysex utility. It can 
however play midi files that contain sysex banks in a "playable" 
format. 

And so far as I know, sysex utilities such as found in midi-ox, 
cannot "play" midi files.  Of course, if I am wrong, I'd be happy to 
give those utilities a try.
