(1) What are you trying to do? (Or are you exploring possible options?) (2) Does your MOTU have software and are you using it to set up user routing configurations? I have the MT Express (8x8 midi router, parallel port version-- not usb). For Win98SE there is Console software; for WinXP there is Cockworks. They also have Mac software. There are so many variations. For example, I have one user preset on the MTXP and one corresponding E-Mu Multisetup where Sonar (on the PC) is the master. I have a different MTXP/E-Mu setup for pattern creation on the E-Mu using a single keyboard. Also, I have an almost empty pattern template to record on the E-Mu sequencer tacks for external devices. (Each track in the template pattern has volume data to preserve the external track setting.) For older gear (Roland Intelligent Arranger), I used to have MOTU presets (1) for Cakewalk as master clock and (2) for the intelligent arrager as master clock. If your MOTU uses software for setting up user presets like the MTXP, the possibilities are almost limitless--depending on what you are trying to do. Hope this helps. --Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "zerocrossing2001" <ze rocrossing2001@y...> wrote: > Right. I'm trying to do something a bit different.
