I do this same thing in Cubase. The easiest way I've found so far, is to take the XL-7 pattern you're trying to sequence from Logic, and save it to a new location in the XL-7. Now erase all of the note data on all tracks, and resave the pattern (in that new location). That way the sequencer in the XL-7 may start, but there's no additional notes being triggered by it, and all your tempo based LFO's and envelopes will still sync correctly. rEalm I'm using my XL-7 like a sound module a lot. In this situation I've been trying to bypass the XL-7 sequencer without success: I'd like to press start on my logic without starting the XL-7 sequencer. The only way I've found so far is to disable 'Transmit Midi Clock' in Logic. This way though I loose the time sync with other midi devices... Is there a way to disable midi sync in the xl-7?
