Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello:
  I am searching for that holy grail of live drum sequencers.
I like the rm1x for it's x0x style, but the editing is still a pain
to switch midi note/instruments on the fly. Can someone comment on the
XL7/MP7's live sequencer action? Namely x0x step/grid edit, changing
instruments (ie can you jump to certain notes by pressing a master keyboard?)
and also groove/gate/quantizing features.
