Man, you make me sad. And worst of all: i agree with you. Now i start to re= alise, that i wasted my money and time to this nice box. All that i wanted w= as an exact hardware sequencer to change my computer-based composing style. = What i get is an unstable half-baked workstation with expensive sound-expand= ing options (if you like to use your own sounds). At the moment i use it for= midi-controller (the knobs are great)! How can i trust in an equipment which FREEZES at times?! It just can't ste= p smoothly between patterns even with the latest OS upgrade?! It's impossibl= e to syncronize it exactly to my computer-system, the bank- and program-chan= ge messages are WEIRD and the best of all: it sends exlusive messages to my = E-MU Ultra sampler, even if i turn off the incoming programchanges on it (ch= anges the volumes, pans and bus assignments in my multisetups)!!! I'm an E-MU user long ago, and i was happy when i saw the first pictures of= the XL-7. I did'nt thought that those guys are out of practice of sequencer= -building. I'm affraid, that E-MU won't sell many of these models, and soon will get o= ut of developping the OS. Anyway, i've heard, that AKAI will release a super-highend MPC (4000) soon.= virgács --- In xl7@y..., "nifflas" <nifflas@m...> wrote: > After a couple of months I have to realize that I have to get another > sequencer. > > Now I need you advice.
