Gee, that was some list! What did I like about the effects? Just the fact that every parameter was midi syncable and that you could apply th effects and save as a new sample really quick like. Also, the ability to use the step sequencer in all the effects was cool and opened up tons of options. True they're no Lexicon, but for mangling samples quickly in weird new ways they worked great IMO. I used my sp808 live all the time, but it was mostly just manually triggering samples here and there, so no big tax on the system there. Yeah, I've use the Electix stuff, a friend of mine has the Repeater and the Filter Queen, both are excellent. rEalm What was so special about the effect section? I tried all the effects, and they seemed simplistic and tired to me - it's the same set of effects you'll find on all of roland's groove toys - from the hand drum to the sequencer boxes. Have you used any electrix stuff? A repeater and a bunch of cheap ass 80s effects units (or other electrix toys, if you have the cash) runs circles around this box. Add a cd player on a volume pedal, playing your own sound design, and take over the world. That's my plan :> (Oh yes, and the command station :>)
