That would explain some of issues I've seen too.  Note to self: don't save 
patterns while playing live :)

On a side note, I locked up my OS2.0 XL-7 the other day. Basically, 
once you save an edited pattern to a new location, make sure you 
switch to that new pattern location (to clear the pattern edit 
buffer, which still contains the old pattern number) before you start 
using XMIX...
