One slot left in my E-mu and I was thinking about the Sample Ram /
Rom to use my won samples... BUT...

Creating a 32Mb set in a E-mu sampler (I should buy one first) is
one, but opening the XL everytime to fit in a new set is what I don't
  like.

Isn't it possible to create connector with some kind of flat cable
and an external SmartMedia drive (or somthing like that), which
connects to the Command Station via a memory slot?

  Things to talk about:

  - O.S. update? Or seperate O.S. on the external drive?
  - Sample store format?
  - What kind of media is fast enough and portable?
  - Who could develop it, how many pieces, price?

I think it should be a very nice add-on and if it's technically
possible, maybe as a group we can make it happen. Imagine, 256Mb of
sample memory added to your powerfull Command Station! Wouldn't that
  be nice?

  Maik
