The RM1X is just a groove box like a MC303, MC505, XL-7 (the best!), etc. No sampling capabillities. If want sampling and a Yamaha machine you should take a look at the RS7000. It's a groove box with sampling. The SU700 is a groove sampler, that is it samples grooves. I think you can't put your samples to individual keys, like creating a piano. It's more for sampling loops. I had to make a choice RS7000 (new), a MC909 (2nd hand) or a XL-7 (new) and save some money for... a sampler (2nd hand). An Akai or E- mu Ultra, or a Korg........... --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "isomakcb" <isomakcb@y...> wrote: > as far as i know, the rm1x doesn't have any sampling capabilities... > > they call it a 'rythem sampler" but I think that's very misleading... > > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Turby Schmidt" <trabantmusic@h...> wrote: > > > > I am thinking of adding a groove Sampler to my set and i am > thinking of a > > Yamaha Unit. > > Is anybody in there with expiriences with SU700/RM1X? > > If you feel like this isnt the place to discuss this, please replay > to my > > mail dir.
