The RM1X is just a groove box like a MC303, MC505, XL-7 (the best!), 
etc. No sampling capabillities.

If want sampling and a Yamaha machine you should take a look at the 
RS7000. It's a groove box with sampling.

The SU700 is a groove sampler, that is it samples grooves. I think 
you can't put your samples to individual keys, like creating a piano. 
It's more for sampling loops.

I had to make a choice RS7000 (new), a MC909 (2nd hand) or a XL-7 
(new) and save some money for... a sampler (2nd hand). An Akai or E-
mu Ultra, or a Korg...........
