I am looking to get a Software sequencer, what do think is the most stable to work with. >>>To be honest, most stability issues don't have anything to do with the software, and everything to do with your PC hardware. If stability is your primary goal, and for live use it would be, then I would recommend looking at getting a PC custom built for music. Companies like Red Submarine and Carillion. In terms of software, pretty much all of the big players (SX, Logic, ProTools, and Sonar) have very similar features, and it'll largely come down to which you prefer to stare at for hours on end. Having said that, I personally am a big fan of Cubase SX, especially version 2 which has been running flawlessly in my studio. This is question sure to spark debates though, akin to which is better, a PC or a Mac. <<< Goal is to structure songs for live gigs, using my SP808, and hardware sequencer, not really liking the idea of a laptop or computer on stage. But if I have too, o-well. Did it once, ran into all kinda problems. >>>So pretty much you just want to write your tracks using the software, and then transfer them to the XL-7 whenit's time to play out live? Any of the major sequencers will do this, though I hear Sonar has some of the best midi features, followed by Cubase, then Logic, and finally Protools. Just stay away from Mac applications, as E-Loader will not run on a Mac in most cases.<<< rEalm ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The information transmitted is intended only for the person(s)or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or legally privileged material.
