Welcome to the list! The issue you're having is because the volume
settings for each mixer channel are saved as part of the Pattern. So when
you switch patterns, the mixer settings saved with that pattern are
applied. You'll have to manually change the vlume for each track, and
then resave the pattern to avoid this.

Subject: [xl7] volume settings
hi, i'm new to this group so this is my first post.
i'm having trouble with the volume settings on my XL-7.
sometimes when i switch between patterns, the volume settings for
individual presets change in the mixer.
does anyone know how to resolve this?
i've tried everything and the only solution i've found so far is to
record a controller change right at the beginning of each track.
this can get rather tedious for songs with many different patterns.
