Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

That can be done.  I have substituted drum parts, bass sounds, lead 
sound and so forth on patterns.  Especially if you alter the sound by 
the knobs, the unit prompts you to save it to a user location which 
can be used in any of the 16 track locations.
