Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I was thinking of getting a used rom... maybe the POP or ZR one or 
maybe the $99 Protozoa one...Something with nice acoustic sounds. I 
just saw that emu has an offer that if you buy one they give you the 
Protozoa free. IS it worth it? Or should I just keep looking for a 
used rom?

BTW, has anyone here tried the Protozoa acoustic sounds? Mainly 
pianos and strings but also organs and elec pianos? Are they any 
good? I just bought a car (btw its the XL7's little brother, 
used....hehe!)and am on a tight spot... I can't afford to buy 
something I'm not going to use.... With $300, I can probably 
wait 'til I find a good deal on a used secondhand module, thought it 
be nice to have all the sounds inside my XL-7...



Also, has anyone tried a soft module like plex, or something similar, 
with good results? It seems that it'd be hell easy to setup sounds 
that way but so far I've never tried one... Just soft synths and 
samplers...

Any help or advice greatly appreciated...
