Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

first of all if emu came out with something to rival the command stations , 
IT would somwhat suggest they were abondoning the entire thought of holding 
on to the mp and xl px 7 and I thin that would not happen will the y come 
out with a new product yes will it be what the command stations are no the 
only reasons they lowered the prices on the command stations are because 1. 
They make so much damn money on those damed expansion roms and 2.because 
they are trying to entrap customers into bying their products because once 
they get a command station the y will get a rom card or three.

an advantage to getting a mp with a xl rom is 1 you get like tons of arp 
patterns and 2 you will have a decent amount of synth soundsbut you must ask 
yourself does having a collection of preset synth sounds with a fair amount 
of tweakability compare to having a sepperate va synth and stop me if im 
wrong but Ithind the px-7 only has drum sounds and a few electric bass 
sounds if cost is your concern than I think you may be spending a few 
restless nights debating your concers but if its not get a px-7 and xlead 
rom and have some fun and if your good at programinig sequencing and 
sampling than just about all the drum sounds in the mp-7 can be easily 
obtained and used in you next track some how
