Well, the MP-7 will only record onto one track at a time, so that behavior
that you're seeing is perfectly normal. However, since each track can be
all 16 channels, shouldn't be a problem. Just record your parts to one
track, copy it to the Clipboard, and use the Explode Tracks command to
have all of the channels mapped to their own tracks. Read the new addedum
or manual revision for more details on this.

Subject: [xl7] Sound Mapping
Hello Group
I'm Larry and I own a MP7. I am trying to record into the Mp7 and I'm
getting 8 traks of my external sequencer on one track on the MP7.
I press record on my MP7 and start the external sequencer which plays
back the sequence but when I play back the track I recorded on the
MP7 it does not sound like the preset I intended to record but it
sounds like all 8 tracks on my sequencer in recorded to one track of
the MP7. Can anyone help me solve this. Also when I play my external
sequencer and have the MP7 play back the bass sound. the bass sound
on the Mp7 sounds an octave lower than what I played it at.
My goal is to playback the external sounds through the MP7 and also
add additional tracks to orchestrate the song however the MP7 is not
letting me record the MP7 tracks individually without a toss salad of
sound. Thanks LL
