Hello?

Hello?

2003-03-25 by andrew dalio

Gee, March is almost over, and not a single post! I suppose
everyone's busy using their Wiards... Lately, I've been interfacing
mine with a Moog Voyager. Extra yummy! Hope to hear from y'all
soon!

Sadly, not enough this month (too busy playing bass, programming Andromeda,
and recording lead vocals by a singer who needs lots of takes). But an
album I played Wiard on a couple years ago finally came out (on tuesday) ...
http://www.innerspacerecords.com/mushroom/home.htm
Even though I also had several Blacet modules patched in, and also played
Andromeda, the credits only mention Wiard next to my name. Oh well, I
guess it *is* the sexiest of the three ... (to further confuse things, the
credits don't mention that the guy who plays Wurlitzer also plays Hammond
and MoogerFooger ring modulator, so people are probably going to think my
Andromeda playing is him, and his ring mod sounds are me)

Anyone else up to anything with your Wiard this month?

I'll be Wiarding on WCBN in Ann Arbor at midnite tonite, and
I believe that MEME is next Friday. Double dose of Wiard on
the airwaves.

Hi there,

That's right. MEME will be performing 4/4-5/2003 on WCBN
Ann Arbor (streamed to the net). There will be plenty of Wiard
on the air (and virtual air) that night. The details (about MEME
and the performance) can be found at:
http://www.mlswebworks.com/meme.html
for those interested.

(to liquidcolor: good luck at the gig and go well using the
Wiarding Way).

Outstanding Wiard system you have, Mike. Saw the pix
of the Midwest AH Gathering.. Look forward to streaming
the WCBN gig! (Missed Liquidcolor's; are there archives?)

Easier,

Nope, but I'll have some excerpts up soon. We had some tech difficulty
with my Mac sequencer, so the first hour was rather repetitive while I
tore my hair out scoping out the problem.

The second half features Chris' Buchla and heavy use of my very
idiosyncratic EFM ms-20 filter clones that distort interestingly with
high resonance settings.

I'll let the list know when the tunes are up.

Hi Mike,

The Friday night gig should feature (from my end) that exact
setup. There will be a lot of Wiard, but there should also be
some interesting processed accoustic sounds (me on Rin-gong
and Nick on violin and "metal box"). All in all, it should be a
good time.

Wiard Status?

2003-04-01 by Les Mizzell

Has anybody heard from Grant recently?

Was just wondering of the status of things. I've been awaiting the
introduction of the Noise Ring and it's been quite awhile since he's done
any updates/announcements or anything on the site.

I know his hands have been giving him a lot of trouble. Wonder if he's
considered working on designs and getting somebody else to assist with
assembly so things can continue?

a few weeks ago he said in an email that the noise ring faceplates had
just arrived and were looking fantastic, but that's all i know.
