Norman,
Got any video of you in action so we can see/hear what you're doing? Looks like it would
sound interesting.

Is that a 12-string Schector? Saw one of those in GC the other day...
Cheers

An audience member put this up on YouTube. The sound isn't too great,
I think he just recorded it with a little digital camera:

I don't think there's any Wiardin that section :( The murky figure in
the middle is me, the barely visible figure on the left is a guy
called Jez Creek, who records on his own as "modulator esp", his solo
set was pretty great. Invisible on the right is Mark, the guitarist
who I write music with.

The clip highlights the major difficulty of doing electronic improv,
how not to sound like early '70's tang dream! It's tricky, for sure,
those guys wrote a big part of the rulebook.

The guitar is a sort-of Schecter, it's a Daisy Rock "Retro H" that I
got in a closeout a couple of years ago, I wanted a cheapo electric 12
as my Rickenbacker is getting a bit tatty. I replaced the crappy
stock pickups with Seymour Duncans (which cost more than the
guitar!), and added individual coil split to them both. It pains me
to admit it, but it plays as well as my Ricky, and sounds better,
though put them side-by-side, and the Rick is obviously the
better-made instrument. The quality of cheap guitars these days is
quite something compared to the way it was when I was but a lad.
Here's a closeup:

One of my baffling flickr pics that has nearly 500 views, no idea why.
I guess someone on some guitar forum must have linked to it or
something.

No offense intended, but it looks like a Daisy Rock guitar.

John
