Merry Christmas everybody!

Pardon the Wiard news here, but I mentioned this item a few months ago
and a few on the list asked about it, so I am reporting back with some
updated news....

For those of you inquired about the tcelectronic Studio Konnekt 48 a
few months back when I was beta testing it during the AnalogLive!
concert in November, the news is that the latest release of the
software is ready to go and IT WORKS!

I have been using it for the last few days and it appears to be stable
and fully functioning.

IMHO, this is the best integrated interface on the market; I have used
it for everything from remote recording with my laptop, or putting my
laptop in a multichannel liplock with my studio G5 for additional
effects or instruments, to using the SK48 as a stage mixer for live
performance....

-12 analog inputs (4 balanced line ins, 4 impedence-matching micpre's)
-12 analog outputs;
-8 channels of ADAT i/o;
-SPDIF i/o;
-Firewire interface;
-midi i/o;
-word clock i/o
-96/24 operation;
-built in DSP (system 4000 reverb and multichannel limiting);
configurable for surround, complete with bass management for the
subwoofer channel;
-a very nifty user configurable remote control (yes, when in surround
you can use it as a master volume for the room);
-and you can configure it, then disconnect the computer - letting it
operate free standing as a mixer, convertor, reverb unit, etc.

That's it - I will return the airwaves back to Wiard land!

Thanks for the report, Gary. Of course, the announcement at NAMM that TC are "merging" with Gibson Guitar has me nervous all over again. I guess that I'm going to remain on the fence a little longer to see how this shakes out.

Thanks again,
Chris
