Basic power question

Basic power question

2007-11-02 by Mark Griffiths

Hi, sorry to bother everyone with such a basic question. I have forgotten how to connect up the Wiard modules to the Blacet power supply, or where that info was (I must have had it, I have 2 racks of modules).
My hazy recollection is that red is positive. Can some kind soul confirm?
Grant, the Wogglebug arrived sometime ago. I had a major life event (more a personal apocalypse) so I am only now about to test it.

Hi Mark,

I'm glad it made it through the postal strike.

The connectors have a locking ramp, the matching PS-500 connectors should have a
plastic tang to engage it. Just be careful that all 4 pins are engaged correctly, and NEVER
remove the cover of the PS-500 if the line cord is plugged into mains power.

To emphasis that, always remove the mains cord from mains power berfore doing
anything what-so-ever with the power supply. Failure to do so could maim or kill you.

Wiard uses these standard colors:

RED = positive 15 volts
GREEN = GROUND
BLACK = negative 15 volts

Happy Woggling!
