Wiard CVS

2007-08-04 by wiardmodular

Thought I'd drop a note about some cool custom work Grant is doing
for me.

First the 8 in 8 out Wiard Computer Voltage Source Module. (jpg of
potential layout posted to photos)

I Contacted Grant a number of months ago with the idea of hiring him
to construct something along the lines of what Dave on the
ComputerVoltageSources yahoo group had built up out of the ashes of
the PSIM. Grant agreed that a CVS module was an interesting idea
and covered a lot of ground that would complement a Wiard System.

Thanks to Dave's work in providing a PCB for the module it looks like
the Wiard CVS will become reality. I'm very excited about this
module. The PSIM was a brilliant module and this just adds to it
with the 8 in 8 out, offset pots (which can be used as 16 pots for a
sequencer program) LCD screen for easy program editing, midi in out
and DIN sync.

I look forward to using it as the centerpiece brains of my system.

In addition I ordered a Waveform City with David Hylanders expansion
board built in and a ROM selection switch on the back of the module.

I also have a 300 series format Dual Noise ring with Clock input mod
on order.

Grant's willingness to do custom work is just another way that WIARD
distinguishes itself.

Sorry about that. One thing you can do is go to the groups.yahoo.com
wiardgroup and look at the Activity within 7 days link under Home
then click on new photos posted and you go right to them.

Its the last photo under photos->miscellaneous

2u rack which should fit neatly on top of the joystick controller
panel.

Go to:
Wiard yahoo group home
click on "photos"
Then "miscellaneous"
then navigate to the last photo.

Excellent work from Grant, I must say.
