high quality audio interface to the Wiard....

More ancilliary information from a neurotic noise buff.... Because of this really cool multichannel-panning thing going on with my Wiard system as a result of the JAGs, I have been experimenting with using the system as a effects send from my Protools mixer for processing (2-in, 5 out). Due to the intense amount of noise in my studio (video, and the fact that every other thing has a computer in it creates tremendous amounts of noise on the ground, as well as rf in the air), I have acquired a Dean Jensen PI-2XP, which is an XLR-phone 1:1 transformer isolation box. I am using this as the interface to be able to send external sources to the Wiard with a minimum of signal loss or noise. What is really cool is that Jensen Transformers, who, arguably make the best quality audio tranformers available, now sell modularly constructed boxes that you can specify connectors and specifications, (essentially this means that you don't have to build a box yourself, like I did when I made my Jensen Direct boxes). The price of the boxes actually cost less than it would cost to buy the parts to build them. I plan to put this box behind a Frac Panel with 2 XLR and 2 miniphone connectors on the panel. Here is the web url for Jensen transformers. Have a quiet day.... http://www.jensen-transformers.com/ Gary
