Fwd: PSIM-1 Rev. 1.0b first impressions

Fwd: PSIM-1 Rev. 1.0b first impressions

2004-02-21 by Woody Wall

I originally sent this to the SynthModules list and later realized it would
be of interest to some who might not be on that list. Watch the
cross-posting.

I've had the PSIM-1 going through its paces for about an hour and can say
I'm very happy with this module. The voltages are stable and precisely
1V/Oct. as far as my ears are concerned. It's a snap to load new programs.
The whole process takes about 10 seconds. I haven't actually written any
code yet, but it looks easy to do if you've done any sort of programming.

Brice did a great job of packing, too. Lots of bubblewrap and peanuts in the
box, along with a serial cable and a CD full of documentation, schematics,
code examples and sound clips.
