my first Wiardized modules... but upside down!

my first Wiardized modules... but upside down!

2004-01-13 by waveform100

Hey Guys,

I just uploaded a picture of 3 "wiardized" modules with the jacks on
top. They are slightly *diffrent* than the normal Wiard 300 Modules.

As I really love the ergonomics and looks of the Wiard (and the sound
off course), I decided to began to transform several Non-Wiard
modules into the Wiard-Form-Factor. I will put my new modules under
my 11 Wiard 300 Modules (hopefully 12 one day) I thought it makes
sense to put the jacks above the Pots.

The Modules are very vanilla:
The Module on the left is the Oakley SuperLadder 3
the one in the middle the Oakley Wavefolder
the one on the right the Oakley Equinoxe Phaser (finished). It is
only half the size of a normal Wiard 300.
The funny black thing on the right is a VCS-3 style matrix but has 22
outs and 44 ins I use to control some Wiard, Blacet, Oakley and AS
Modules. It consists 2 matrices of ghielmetti, switzerland

Sorry, if a bit OT.

Olivier
BTW: If Dr. Mabuse is reading this: I changed my email-Adress, and
cannot open the other one. New email: smoo@smoosound.com

LOL!
imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
I'll bet the LAST feature that Grant was expecting to see imitated was his 'controversial' 300 series panel graphics!!!
Salut Olivier!
(PS As of this morning, Smoo is still in rotation in the 'grrl car')

Yes exactly! In this case it is clear a form of flattery. Too bad the
color isn't the same blue and there are no keltish drawings. And no 8
LED's on the top. Its my form to praise my Wiard.
But after a really really really long wait for Phil's CMS Modules
(more than 2 years now) which never showed up (thank you Mr. Zimmer),
I decided to do buy some davies knobs. The rest was fun.

Wow, nice job Oliver. What do you think of the Equinoxe?
Best etc

Hey Norman,

I just tested the Equinoxe for about 5 Minutes, holding the Module in
my Hand and patching it to the Wiard. So far: wonderful sound! It's
not like the MoogerFooger (the MoogerFooger is a Love-Hate-Story). I
will compare it to the MoogerFooger and the Omni-Allpass (and
others), when the 3 Modules are all finished and in place. Much to
solder today, but they are ready soon.

Olivier

Hi Oliver

I think it's a clone of the small stone. Tony at Oakley Systems has
allowed Analogue Systems to issue his phasor but they don't seem give
him any credit on their website or in the recent Sound on Sound
review.

BTW, a guy here on the Isle of Man has made a 12 stage equinoxe with
variable feeback stages, by chaining three together. It sounds
pretty good. There's info about it on the Oakley Yahoo group.

And speaking of phasors, you might want to try the Prophecy Sound
infinit phase pedal. It's a 8 stage sequencer linked with half of a
mutron biphase.

Cheers

Richard
