Hi Wiardos,

I got mine on Friday when I came home from work! What
a nice Holiday surprise...

So far I have only had about 45 minutes to play with
it. My initial experiments have been plugging a 1209
Joystick/Trigger into the external rate input and
speeding up slowing down the clock for some crazy
rhythmic action... Anyone want to give me a list of
things to try? Or tell me how to play Happy Birthday
on it? (maybe Jingle Bells would be more a pro
pos...). :-)

I really like the construction too! I have a couple of
Blacet Dark Star Chaos Modules that Grant's former
builder Nick Liebricht made for me that have the same
design layout (knobs on top, jackfield below - same
knobs - same front plate thickness) and they fit/look
excellent together! My modular is very small compared
to some of you guys (Gary Chang, Michael Firman) but
it is great being able to communicate with you "old
hands" and gleen some of your knowledge and
experience. So I have now outgrown my first frac and
am starting on a second (got a lone Blacet
Mixer/Processor sitting on top of my SKB X case that
the other stuff is in) which I will be filling up with
more Blacet stuff... I told Grant that I am going to
get a WoggleBug ordered by this Summer... My
intentions are to build a mutant music machine. I am
not too interested in recreating the Moog which so
many others are intent on, I really want something
that can create damaged/broken/imperfections that
relate to my idea of sound. "there is beauty in
imperfections" - Anais Nin. Talking on the phone with
Grant recently got me really excited about future
Wiard modules. I too want to see the new axis
generator module (I have 2 joystick/triggers
w/batteries in little boxes... handheld) and the
envelooper sounds like it will be coming too! Cool
things on the horizon...

I think the Noise Ring is helping to take me there!
Thanks Grant and keep up the great work!

What's so cool about the 1200's packaging is that it is so shallow
behind the panel that it fits into almost any box, like the project
boxes found at Fry's.... I have had to modify all of the Blacet
modules that I have so that the would fit in a shallow box, so this is
a welcome solution to the packaging issue.

Hi Gary,

Are the project boxes from Fry's available on-line?

Thanks,

Nick
