Noise Rings are here.

Noise Rings are here.

2003-12-13 by Michael A. Firman

I just thought I'd drop a line here to tell everyone that the Noise
Rings are now shipping. Got my production model yesterday (I've
been playing with a prototype for about two weeks now). Looks
and sounds great. I really love using it as a CV source together
with a MiniWave (or WaveForm City) to create some beautiful little
random baroque-like ditties.

Could you do me a test please?

Is it possible to - when it's set to produce a "pitched" source (doesn't
have to be a "pure" pitch - can be squawking sorta pitched noise... - to
get close to a 1 vt octave response out of it that will sorta track for
two or three octaves?

In other words, could you play "Happy Birthday" on it?

Better yet, post some sound samples for us!

I got mine a couple days ago and I LOVE IT!!! It is absolutely incredible
and it's going to take me a long time to figure out everything I can do with
it. Yes, the Noise Ring and the MiniWave together are a GREAT pair! I
*highly* recommend the Noise Ring and can't imagine my synth without one
now.

I received my Noise Ring today and have been serenaded by its
extemporaneous melodies all afternoon.... I also love its build
quality - the surface mount board so neatly mounted to the pots. What
a gem!

I am really looking forward to the Axis generator - the voltage
controlled 5 channel panner.
