i certainly see your point but as a poor "wage slave", i only have so many dollars to devote to my hobby - and, yes, for me, it is a hobby only, something i do strictly for my own enjoyment - hence my decision to focus on modules as opposed to packaging.
i agree wholeheartedly that grants modules are beautiful and i love the 2 that i have and hope to get more as funding allows.
if you, or anyone on this list, wants to see my synth, i have a pic posted on the doepfer yahoo list photo section (my machine is primarily doepfer with small bits of wiard,blacet,motm,an.sys.,an.sol., encore).
