Noise Ring Question

Noise Ring Question

2003-11-15 by Les Mizzell

Does anybody know if the "Noise Ring" can be tuned to 1/v octave when
producing a pitched "tone"?

Thanks,

Les

Hi Les,
I'll take an educated guess, and say: No.
But I recommend a grain of salt because only Prof. Richter would know at this point.
chears,
doc

0.5 Hz to 10 Khz is around 15 octaves. A one volt per octave input
doesn't have enough range. There is some part of the range that
should be near to 0.6 volts per octave. The EXTernal RATE
control has an attenuator so you can attenuate the 1 volt per
octave keyboard signal down to 0.6 volts per octave.

Some part of the range should track a keyboard for an octave or
so. It never occured to me that anyone would want to, so I never
tested it.

Try it and let us know how it works.

Best Regards,

Grant Richter
